Villa at Torrevieja (Alicante)

We are currently carrying out this project in Torrevieja. The basic strategy of this project was one of the client's requests, which was to divide the house into two: one for his parents and one for himself. With this base we designed the separation of both houses but with a connection between them by adjoining living rooms, differentiating them also with the color of the façade.

Another of the project strategies was to introduce the concept of interior patio, recalling the old villas of the Region of Murcia, which centered the activity of greater privacy around a central patio that, at the same time, provided light and cross ventilation to all the living place. With this idea we designed a central patio that gives light and ventilation to all the rooms, at the same time that it allows to introduce vegetation in the central part of the house, creating in this way a symbiosis between the exterior and the interior.

The third concept that we introduced was the introduction of the pool in contact with the central patio. This again gives direct contact with nature and a contrast between the private and the public.

To develop all these concepts we use purism as a design tool, creating pure, straight and clean shapes, as well as flights that allow us to obtain spaces outside with wide shadows, essential to achieve a good quality in living.
